Many of you know our exciting news, but we wanted to update on here as well that...

WE'VE BEEN MATCHED!!!

On June 26th, we received the best phone call, letting us know that an amazing, selfless woman had chosen us to raise her child!  What an honor!  We are so incredibly excited and can not wait to bring home baby L!  We do not know the gender yet, but the due date will be in January!

We covet your prayers as we will have roughly $15,000 to raise before January!  The Lord is so faithful and we know without a doubt that He will provide!

 Puzzle Fundraiser:

We have a customized 252 piece puzzle and are selling each piece for $20. We will write the name of whoever buys a piece on the back of the puzzle. Once our puzzle has been completed we will put it in a double sided picture frame to hang in the nursery. If you are interested, you can be represented on multiple pieces of our puzzle! To purchase puzzle pieces, you can donate through our Paypal account.  

 

 

 

 T-Shirt Fundraiser:

We have launched our Adoption T-Shirt Fundraiser through Bonfire Funds.  We have a goal to sell 100 shirts! We know that's a lot, but we are hopeful that we can do it!  Our fundraiser will only last 12 more days!  At the end of the 12 days, Bonfire Funds will create and ship your shirts to you.  You can purchase them here. A portion of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to our adoption fund! The shirts come in multiple colors and styles including a Youth size!

The Lord is so faithful friends!  He continually reminds us that He is writing our story and is in complete control. We recently shared with you all that we had signed on to work with a consulting group that we felt the Lord led us to called Christian Adoption Consultants.  We believe that He has recently revealed to us one of the reasons that He led us to them.  A couple of weeks ago, we found out that the adoption agency we had signed on with two years ago, Chosen Child, will be closing their doors and will no longer be an active adoption agency.  Although this was very tough to hear, we are so thankful that we are now clients with CAC.  His timing is perfect and His plans are so so good.  We are working with Chosen Child to see how this will affect our family.

Friends and Family, 

It's been a quite a while since we've written an update.  We wanted to share with everyone what's been going on in our lives lately and on our journey to bring home baby L.  
We can't say enough how thankful we are for all of your thoughts, support, and prayers throughout the process.  It means more to us than you can imagine!  

The waiting period has definitely not been easy.  Some days are more more challenging than others for sure.  We are so ready for our baby to be in our arms and we know you guys are too! The Lord has taught us so much through this process about His faithfulness when we question finances, His grace when we question His timing, and His nurturing compassion when we become fearful to the unknown.  Although it's been tough, we have seen the Lord's footprints in it all.  It is our prayer that He is glorified in EVERY single aspect of this process. He knows our hearts and our deepest desire.  We know with every ounce of our beings that this is where the Lord wants us and that He will bring our baby home!  The Lord's faithfulness never ceases to amaze us.  It's incredible to watch Him answer our prayers, even if the answer is No sometimes.  We trust Him and we trust His plan for our family.  

'“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

So are My ways higher than your ways,

Where we are now:

Through a lot of prayer and guidance, we have felt the Lord encourage us to cast our net further.  We have decided to additionally pursue an adoption consultant group.  We are still clients with Chosen Child and remain active with them.  For those of you who may not be familiar with a consulting group, they are basically the middle man between Perspective Adoptive Parents and Adoption Agencies.  They walk alongside their adoptive couples, encouraging them and advocating on their behalf.  They work with several agencies through out numerous states.  

We have been absolutely blown away with Christian Adoption Consultants (CAC).  A couple of weeks ago, we signed on to be clients of theirs!  We are so excited and hopeful for our future with them!  Working with them, allows us to be active with several agencies at once.  Some of the variables that come with working with a consulting group are that we may not know what state our child will be born in, and the cost of the agency that will facilitate the adoption.  Many of the agencies have higher average cost than what we have budgeted for.  However, we have seen and know the Lord's faithfulness and we're confident that He will provide the finances.  We plan to pursue several grant opportunities and would love your prayers as there is a lot of paperwork to fill out.
