Many have asked what's new with the adoption process or if there are any updates.
As much as we would love for there to be an exciting update, we unfortunately do not have any new updates about Baby L.
We are still in the waiting phase.
Waiting for a birth mom to chose us to parent her child, waiting for our "magic phone call" when our lives will be changed forever, waiting for the moment to share with everyone that we are having a baby, waiting for the moment we finally get to hold Baby L in our arms. Oh how we long for that day! I dream about these moments all the time.
I was reminded this week in one of my daily devotionals that read,
"Father, when my circumstances scream louder than my faith, help me cling to your truth" (First5.org).
Although this waiting period is hard, the Lord is teaching us some amazing things. We are parents to two precious babies in Heaven, and we are confident in the Lord's promise that we will be parents to a baby here on earth one day. We are stronger and more confident in His love and faithfulness than ever before. He knows the desires of our hearts and we trust that He has big plans for us and Baby L and we can't wait to see them unfold.
Starting this journey, we were both pretty intimidated by the cost and a little overwhelmed to think that two people working in the ministry would need to raise close to $30,000 to bring our baby home. We are incredibly thankful and amazed by the Lord's provision and that He is allowing us to be a part of His plans! We are so close to reaching this goal!
They say it takes a village to raise a child, and we are in awe of our community of friends and family that have already come alongside us, encouraged us, supported us financially and emotionally, and most importantly prayed for us.
Thank you so much to all of you, for being there for us every step of this journey! And for already loving our baby! You will never know how much it means to us!
